Meet our 10-player CommBank ParaMatildas squad for the IFCPF Women's World Cup 2024

Head Coach Kelly Stirton has named a ten-player squad for the CommBank ParaMatildas' upcoming IFCPF Women's World Cup 2024 tournament, with the team looking to go one better than their silver medal at the 2022 edition.

Meet our squad that will take part in the IFCPF Women's World Cup 2024 from the 11th – 20th November in Salou, Spain.

Rae Anderson

Debut: 13/05/2022 v Japan
Caps (Goals): 9 (0)

Rae made her debut for the CommBank ParaMatildas at the 2022 IFCPF World Cup, adding to her illustrious sporting career that has seen her represent Australia at both the Summer Olympics in track and field and the Winter Olympics in Alpine Skiing. She became the seventh Australian Paralympic athlete to represent Australia at both games.

Anderson was part of the side that lifted the IFCPF Asia-Oceania Women’s Championships in 2023. 

Georgia Beikoff

Debut: 11/05/2022 v Netherlands
Caps (Goals): 12 (22)

Georgia made her debut for the CommBank ParaMatildas at the 2022 IFCPF World Cup, picking up the golden boot at the inaugural competition with 13 goals in 5 appearances and helping Australia to a second-place finish at the tournament.

Beikoff is an Olympic Bronze medalist, winning rose gold at the London 2012 Summer Olympics in Javelin. She also competed in the Women's 4x100m at the 2012 edition of the tournament.

The midfielder has played in all of the CommBank ParaMatildas international games and has found the back of the net a staggering 22 times in green and gold. Georgia was part of the side that lifted the IFCPF Asia-Oceania Women’s Championships in 2023, picking up the golden boot for a second consecutive tournament. 

Tahlia Blanshard

Debut: 11/05/2022 v Netherlands
Caps (Goals): 11 (2)

Tahlia also made her debut for the CommBank ParaMatildas at the 2022 IFCPF World Cup, helping Australia to a second-place finish at the tournament as the defender appeared in all of Australia's games.

Blanshard was part of the side that lifted the IFCPF Asia-Oceania Women’s Championships in 2023, putting on a strong defensive effort in the tournament that saw Australia only concede two goals.

Annmarie de Uriarte

Debut: 2/09/2023 v Japan
Caps (Goals): 7 (11)

Annmarie made her first appearance for the CommBank ParaMatildas in their three-match series against Japan in September 2023, with the 15-year-old named the Female Young Player of the Tournament at the 2022 National Para Football Championships.

The young forward impressed in her first-ever tournament for the CommBank ParaMatildas, scoring three goals across the IFCPF Asia-Oceania Women’s Championships in 2023 to help Australia to their first piece of silverware.

Lainee Harrison

Debut: 11/05/2022 v Netherlands
Caps (Goals): 5 (5)

Lainee Harrison last made an appearance for the CommBank ParaMatildas during the 2022 IFCPF World Cup, featuring in all five games for Australia and scoring five goals in the process.

Harrison was integral to Australia reaching the final in 2022 IFCPF World Cup, and will be looking to bring her experience to the team for the upcoming tournament. 

Rebecca Jones

Debut: Yet to make her debut
Caps (Goals): 0 (0)

Rebecca Jones has yet to make her debut for the CommBank ParaMatildas, however, has featured in a number of training camps since 2023 in preparation for the tournament.

Hailing from the nation's capital, she is also an avid rower. Jones will be looking to make her debut at the World Cup. 

Eloise Northam

Debut: 11/05/2022 v Netherlands
Caps (Goals): 12 (9)

Eloise made her debut for the CommBank ParaMatildas at the 2022 IFCPF World Cup, captaining the side in the inaugural international fixture. The midfielder scored five goals in five appearances for Australia, helping the team to a silver medal in their first-ever tournament.

Eloise has featured in all of the CommBank ParaMatildas games, captaining the side to a historic silver medal in their first-ever international tournament.

Trinity McPhie

Debut: Yet to make her debut
Caps (Goals): 0 (0)

Trinity McPhie is another one of the players in the squad awaiting their debut. Like Jones, McPhie too has featured in a number of training camps for the CommBank ParaMatildas since the team was formed in 2023.

The Queenslander made history as the first female player from Queensland to represent the state at the National Para Championships and recently picked up the Tom Dickson Athlete with a Disability award at Football Queensland's annual awards. 

Carly Salmon

Debut: 2/09/2023 v Japan
Caps (Goals): 7 (4)

Carly Salmon made her CommBank ParaMatildas debut in Australia's three-match series in Japan in September 2023, captaining the side to three victories against their opponents for the upcoming tournament.

Making her debut in goals, Salmon also plays in midfield, where she found the back of the net in the IFCPF Asia-Oceania Women’s Championships to help Australia to the title. 

Katelyn Smith

Debut: 11/05/2022 v Netherlands
Caps (Goals): 10 (5)

Katelyn made her debut for the CommBank ParaMatildas at the 2022 IFCPF World Cup, keeping a clean sheet in 3 games and being named Goalkeeper of the tournament.

Smith's goalkeeping heroics were praised in the last edition of the IFCPF World Cup, but her ability to find the back of the net from the other end saw her score on two separate occasions and pick up the golden glove for the tournament.
